Passing Through Midtown Requires Association Sticker

Midtown Village is an alternate route to go to SM Manila East, or even go to Antipolo w/o going through the traffic on Ortigas Ave. Extension or going around Highway 2000 in Taytay. There are 3 entrances, Sampaguita Street in Brgy. San Andres, Cainta, Mariposa Street also in Brgy. San Andres (Poblacion) and Romeo Taddeus Street in Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Pasig City. So, it’s really convenient for CV (Cambridge Village) residents to use this route especially during peak hours, and vice-versa. But that has changed.

Last week, we noticed a sign already that Midtown Village. For sometime, the said village would only require non-resident vehicles to pay PHP10 and it’s good for the whole day. They changed it to paying PHP10 every time a non-resident needs to pass through the village (or it’s the otherway around). But this year, they implemented a PHP750 sticker for non-resident vehicles to pass through.

This is the association sticker that they will place on the windshield. This is to be renewed every year.

And on the Sampaguita Street entrance, there was a notice in the gate but there’s no security to check the vehicles passing through. But in the Mariposa Street entrance, strict implementation of the association sticker is being implemented. And if you actually try to enter via Mariposa Street and your vehicle doesn’t have the necessary sticker, a traffic enforcer or a security personnel will guide you to take another route on the right which leads to the association office. They will assure you that you can pass through – leaving the information that only if you will buy the PHP750 sticker! Of course, drivers were upset when they found out there’s a catch!

The PHP750 receipt for the annual sticker, just to pass through Midtown and avoid heavy traffic along Ortigas Ave. Extension.

I decided to buy the sticker impromptu since I will be needing it. And better to purchase it early in the year, because it has to be renewed every year. They asked for my license and the CR, which is pretty standard.

I hope this article helps the other CV drivers avoid the fate of those who got click bait.
